AZEE Branding Solutions
Organic social media reach is not a thing of the past—you’re just making it harder than it needs to be. It’s time to start approaching social media with E’s. That’s right, E’s. I’m Tony Nash, owner of AZEE Branding Solutions, and I’d like to share with six essential tips to help you navigate the complexities of social media. I call them the 6 E’s of Social Media.
Like many, I know you’re tired of pouring time and effort into your social media only to see minimal results! We all know how difficult and frustrating it can be, especially with algorithms constantly changing and making it even harder to reach your audience. That’s why I’ve developed the 6 E’s that are a must for your social media strategy!
Educate
The first and probably most important E is “educate.” This should make up 20-30% of your content. People need to know who you are, what you do, and why you’re the best choice. Share your expertise with informative posts, such as industry tips, behind-the-scenes looks, and success stories. According to a leading Content Marketing Institute report, educational content boosts engagement rates by 131%. So, if you want to build trust and authority, make sure your audience knows you’re the expert in your field.
Entice
Next is “entice,” and this is where a lot of businesses go wrong. This should only be 5-10% of your content. These are the posts that ask your audience to buy, shop, take advantage of special offers, promotions, or new product launches. Don’t be shy—ask your audience to take the next step with you, but don’t do it on every post. You have to give more than you are asking to take.
Engage
Number three is “engage.” Engaging posts should also be a substantial part of your strategy. I recommend 20-30% of your content. Ask questions, conduct polls, and encourage comments. According to Sprout Social, posts that ask for engagement get 64% more comments than those that don’t. The more you interact with your audience, the more they’ll interact with you.
Entertain
Number four is “entertain.” This should be 15-20% of your content. Social media is about being social, so give your followers something to enjoy. Share funny memes, entertaining videos, or behind-the-scenes bloopers. A study by BuzzSumo found that entertaining content receives 72% more shares. If you make your audience smile, they’ll keep coming back for more.
Encourage
Number five is “encourage.” These posts should make up 10-20% of your content. Inspire your followers with motivational quotes, success stories, or positive affirmations. Share inspirational stories of how your product or service has made a difference. Research shows that encouraging posts generate 2.5 times more engagement. Uplift your audience, and they’ll connect with your brand on a deeper level.
Embolden
Lastly, you must “embolden” your followers to take action. This should be 30-40% of your content. These are your calls to action—posts that ask your audience to subscribe, follow, like or visit your website or physical location. HubSpot research shows that posts with a clear call to action see a 25% increase in conversion rates. This strategy is great for converting content to sales. Statistics show that action-oriented posts increase community involvement by 60%. You must get your audience to act.
So, there you have it—the 6 essential E’s for your social media strategy: educate, entice, engage, entertain, encourage, and embolden. Social media is a powerful tool for growing your brand, but only if you use it wisely. Incorporate these elements into your strategy, and watch your engagement soar. It’s time to start doing your social media with E’s!
